Dunedin Holiday Boat Parade and Tree Lighting

Saturday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m.

Dunedin Marina

Decorated boats will leave Marker 1 Marina and travel south down the Intercoastal Waterway to the Dunedin Marina. Santa will ride on the last boat and light the city's largest tree in Edgewater Park upon his arrival.

Winter Wonderland 2012

Entrance to Winter Wonderland is free but we ask visitors to bring a non-perishable food item and/or an unwrapped toy. The toys and canned goods are donated to local area charities, such as the Homeless Emergency Project sponsored by Everybody’s Tabernacle.

Date: Fri, Nov. 30, through Sun, Dec. 23

Location: NW Corner of Ft. Harrison Ave. & Drew St, Downtown Clearwater, Florida

Cost: Free, with a small charge for some rides and refreshments


Holiday Tree Lighting and Stroll

Saturday, Dec. 1 at 5 p.m.

Largo Central Park will brighten the night with a million LED lights in an extravagant holiday display. Tree-lighting at 7pm. Activities include holiday crafts, a visit from Santa, a toboggan snow slide, a variety of festival foods and desserts, live performances on the mobile stage and other special places around the park featuring aerial acrobatics, dancing, singing and puppetry.

Price: Free, all on-site parking is $5.

Clearwater Winter Wonderland

Thursday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m.

See a sparking holiday display with tens of thousands of lights covering 100 trees plus decorated alpine cottages in the village. Activities include photos with Santa, pet photos with Santa (6-9 p.m. Dec. 6), cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus, petting zoo with pony rides, train rides, bouncy house, playground, entertainment and hot chocolate shop. Donations of nonperishable food and unwrapped toys will be accepted.

Price: Free; charge for some rides and refreshments.

There’s Snow Place Like Tarpon Avenue in Tarpon Springs,FL Dec 7, 2012

On Friday, Dec 7,2012, There’s Snow Place Like Tarpon Avenue in Tarpon Springs, FL will be in full force. We will have snow! All the fun and festivities will start at 4pm and continue through 9pm.

Kids, bring your letters for Santa’s mailbox.There will be Falling SNOW, REAL reindeer, Christmas Hayrides, children’s activities, holiday shoppinng, music, food, and spirits.

And, an illuminated boat parade on the Bayou. All of this brought to you by the City of Tarpon Springs, the Tarpon Springs Chamber of Commerce, Tarpon Springs Recreation Dept., and Tarpon Springs Merchants Association.

Safety Harbor Tree Lighting Ceremony

Parade and Old Fashioned Christmas

Saturday, Dec. 8 at 4 p.m.

The parade of floats, bands, Santa and holiday themed entertainers begins in front of the library and heads north to Skinner Boulevard. After the parade, downtown Dunedin comes alive with an old fashioned holiday family festival including carriage rides, live music, train rides, children's activities and a snow mountain.

Island Estates Yacht Club Holiday Boat Parade

Saturday, Dec. 8 at 6:30 p.m.

Decorated boats assemble in Mandalay Channel and head to Coachman Park, under the Memorial Causeway Bridge and to the Clearwater Yacht Club's judging stand. Prizes awarded for best decorated boats. This annual parade is held in memory of Island Estates Yacht Club members who died during the year.

Tarpon Springs Christmas Parade

Saturday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m.

The annual parade includes Shriner's clowns and members on a wide variety of vehicles and community marching units. After the parade, the fun moves to Craig Park for candy cane hunts and pictures with Santa and his elves.

Indian Rocks Beach Lighted Boat Parade

Saturday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m.

You could see motor boats, sail boats, canoes and even row boats in this boat parade with awards by division. It begins at the Holiday Inn Harbourside and heads north through the inner coastal canals and ends just south of the Belleair Causeway.

Florida Botanical Holiday Lights

Stroll through a garden of tropical plants glowing with more than 500,000 twinkling lights. Dancers, musicians and choral groups make each night special. This year, visitors will be treated to a new laser light show and an expansion of lights into the vinery garden and fountains at McKay Creek. The schedule is updated online at Price: $2 suggested donation, 11 and younger free.
